here is the text of the transaction as it was transcribed by a genealogy
researcher in CT for Ralph Erlick in the 1980's:

Vol. M:42
I, Nethanial Webb Junr late Nethanial Webb 3d of Stamford County of
Fairfield State of Connecticut, for the consideration of 61 pounds 2
shillings of 2d New York mony received to my satisfaction of Joseph Mary
Genoways and Elizabeth Johns, wife of William Johns all of the City
County and State of New York have released and forever quit claim unto
Joseph and Elizabeth and to their heirs all right and title to a piece
of land in Stamford .. 14 A. bound S. on my own land W. by Isaac Briggs
land N. by Abram Davis land and E. by highway with buildings thereon.
Also one other tract in Stamford 11 A. bound S. W. & N. by Abraham Davis
land part N. by William Junes land and E. by Hwy. both of sd. pieces
being land mortgaged by Joseph Trow and Elizabeth Trow to Isaac Jones.....
