Could Wesley also be known as Henry? There is a Henry COOPER, whose dob closely matches Wesley's dob, in Mohican, Ashland, OH in the 1860 and 1870 censuses.

1900 census, Mohican, Ashland, OH:
head, Julia COOPER, 74, b Oct 1825, widow, 6 chn, 5 living, OH PA PA

Next door is a Samuel COOPER (age 48) and family.

If Julia had 5 living children in 1900, they could be the 5 children in the 1860 Ashland Co. census; Nancy 17, Semantha 14, Elizabeth 11, Samuel 8 and Harpster 5. Henry was 40 and Julia was 34.

A Julia COOPER, 1826-1906, is buried in Lakefork Cemetery, Ashland Co. OH. There is also a Henry COOPER, 1821-1897, buried there. The cemetery is about a mile northeast of Jeromesville. A Samuel COOPER, 1852-1908, is buried in Jeromesville Cemetery.
