Hi,

I have been looking for information on my great grandfather Sylvester HORNE for a long time. I went to the county where he was supposedly born, and I turned up nothing on him, his wife or any of the kids which I am unsure if they are even his.

I found information on him, his wife and child (my grandmother Alverta) in the 1930 Philadelphia Census. I looked in Robeson County, NOrth Carolina for his birth and marriage and maybe any children, I am unable to find nothing.

My father though that he died 16 FEb 1967, I suspect he may have gotten this date mixed up with his wife who I know to have died 9 feb 1967.

Here is what I have on him:

Sylvester HORNE: He was born in 1907 in Robeson, North Carolina, and he died on 16-FEB-1967 in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania. He married Betty Lee MCKINNON on 1925, and had the following children: Smutha (GSEST. 1926), Gladys (GSEST. 1926), Mary (GSEST. 1926), Lottie (GSEST. 1926), Paul (1916), and Alverta (1927). His parents were Unknown HORNE (b. GSEST. 1884 in GA, d. GSEST. 1944), and Unknown Unknown (b. GSEST. 1884 in GA, d. GSEST. 1944).

Any suggestions on where else to look. does anyone happen to know anything about this family?
