Hi, have a book Settlers and Residents Vol. 3 Part 1 Town of Livingston,
1710-1899 compiled by Arthur C.M. Kelly (Columbia County, NY)
on page 10 it mentions Nicholas Bonesteel who was a member of the St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Livingston. The church was started about
1764.

There is a listing for a Mrs. Bonesteel as a member of the St. John's
Manorton on 2-2-1867 and a Mrs. Bonesteel is on recorded deaths for St. John's in
Manorton, she died 3-12-1867

There is a John Bonistall who was a farmer on the Livingston Manor in1785
also a Philip Bonistale is on the Livingston account book 1788-1791 he was
there from 1788 January to May 1791.

One of my early Mickel or Michel family married into the Bonesteel family,
here is some of my info on them. Hope this gives some clues ?
