I am looking for the parents of Tillman M. Pruitt, b. 1833, d.1894 in AL. I know that his father was William, his mother unknown, his brother, Calvin and his stepmother sas Daskey and half-siblings were Zilman, Eli, Judy, and others.
Tillman married Martha A. McCain, b. 1840, d. 1899 in Floyd Co., GA. Her parents were James McCain, b. 1812 and her mother was 1/2 Indian. She could have been "Nicy" Swanson. Does anyone know anthing about this family and especially about "Nicy?" Her name in the census is Ednicid, Nancy, Minnie or Ninnie and Mincey. I have been searching since 1971 and this is all I have. Help, Please?
