You're welcome! I don't really have my own info on the Hitchings family -- I'm just finding what's available online.

In the 1880 Census, wouldn't the older Margaret have to be William's mother, since she's listed as the grandmother?

Also, the John that's listed could be HER son (and then William's brother) OR John could be William's son by a previous wife (I doubt the younger Margaret had a baby at age 10!)

Here's another tidbit for you: according to WWI Draft registration, Griffith's middle name is Stephen and his birthdate is Aug 30, 1878; Christopher's middle name is Arthur and his birthdate is Sep 21, 1880.

Griffith and Christopher, along with their families/children, are also in the 1920 Census (Pennsylvania > Blair > Hollidaysburg > District 92) as neighbors.

Do you have a Family History Center/Library nearby? I think that finding William's death info would be a good next step -- and that film I mentioned should help in that...
