Apparently John had died by the 1880 Census, because I found Mary living
with her two sons and nephew.



1880 Alabama Census; Chambers County; Chappell Hill; Dist. 18

Henry, Mary - W - F - 46 - head - Farmer - AL SC SC

Henry, John S. - W - F - 18 - son - Laborer - AL --- ---

Henry, Samuel W. W - M - 9 - son - AL -- --

Coggins, George A. - W - M - 19 - Nephew - Laborer - AL -- --





Note: -- -- means no state was listed.



I could not find them in 1870, but in the 1860 census there is a John and
Mary Henry in Chambers County, AL. The age is right for her (27) but John's
age is off by about 4 years. They have two children a daughter by the name
of Matilda (age 2) and John (age 5 mos.). Other than them, that is all I
found in Chambers County, AL. If you would like the information on this
family in the 1860 census, let me know and I will send it to you.

First child was JOHN S. HENRY b 1862 Second son was SAMUEL W HENRY b 1870
Between the years of 1850-1870.

JOHN's mother was named MARY as she signed for him to marry.
