Jennifer,

Thank you for your kind offer. My brick wall is Joseph THOMAS and Elmira
BROWN. This is what I know:

These two first show up in Woodbine Township, Jo Daviess County, Illinois,
when their first child, Mary Louisa THOMAS was born in 1856. My guess is
they were married about 1855, unknown location. My information is Elmira was
born in Illinois, 22 June, 1832, location unknown. I don't know when or
where Joseph was born, possibly Ohio. They had two more children at this
location, Melvina THOMAS, 1860, and Josephine Eveline THOMAS 1862. In 1865
the family left for California, Joseph dying on the trail.

I have no clue as to their ancestors or previous locations. Any scrap of
information or advice will be most welcome.
