Hi there Bobbi,
The transcription info you just saw had to do with the web site
www.mytrees.com (I knew it as Kindred Konnections some time ago) and you
trade transcribing US census info for an hour of free time in thier files.
Go to thier web site and take a peek around.
There is also a Canadian 1901 census project underway to transcribe all
census pages. Nationally, it was about 56% done last I looked (yesteday).
That one is at www.automatedgenealogy.com
you can register (name, email and password) and you can help too with
this one, credit being stored in your name for your work.
right now, the transcription is going well, later on it will be
proofreading that will need to be done too.
cheers!
Jennifer
