Well, barely in Europe, or at least at the very most
eastern edge. Some would consider this Asia, as it
begins to edge up against the Urals. Not far,
however, from the proposed region of origin for R1a.
Peter, do you know what led Alan to propose this area
as the point of origin for R1b?
Also, are there any DNA studies that specifically
address this question?
