Do we have any 37 or 67-marker Basque
> haplotypes that fall into any of the Scots or Irish subclusters?

I believe the answer is yes, and I probably will be able to eliminate the
"believe" earlier in this sentence if the testing lab ever gives me the
results of my ordered tests.

M284+ haplotypes, a subclade of old I1c (M223+) are exclusively found so far
in the British Isles and particularly Scotland. But the original M284+ was
a Basque ydna sample according to the donor. And in the Portuguese ydna
paper database there are a bunch of haplotypes of M223+ haplogroup and with
the characteristic 19 at C4 of M284+ in Scotland.

I am having the Basque M284+ dna material tested for some key markers, such
as DYS425 (null?) and other new markers which strongly tag the Scot variety.
I hope the lab gets in gear.
