Legally and ethically, I'm sure that the combined company cannot bring DNA
samples into the United States without the owner's permission, and for an
obvious reason: I suspect that many people specifically chose to deal with
a German company because its DNA samples would not be subject to American
subpoenas, NSA examination, etc. It would be a major breach of faith to
break that explicit or implicit promise of privacy without the customer's
permission.
