Dear David,
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I do appreciate them. Sometimes as I read the postings on this list, I wonder what I have gotten myself into. However, I am determined to learn as much as I can on using DNA testing to assist me in my genealogy research. I read almost every posting to this list, and I intend to keep on doing so. I am not going to settle for a Newbie list (although I have joined it - twice as much to read now !).

We should also say a big thank you to your mother. Not only did she set you on the correct path, she has helped the rest of us by helping you. By the way, FTDNA has received back the test kit for my project's first participant, so I may soon be asking for your help in understanding the results once they come in.
