Thank you, Dr. Faux. I think this answers any and all questions about J2
haplogroup in Britain, Scotland, and elsewhere in Europe.

in Britain derives from Neolithic migrations of farmers from Anatolia or the
Levant, those with this haplogroup descend from the many Scythian and
Sarmatian and Transcaucasian peoples from Asia and / or the Middle East who
are known to have been in South Eastern Europe since 1275 BC, and Hungary by
79 AD, and in 306 AD forded the Rhine into Western Europe along with the
Suevi and Vandals, entering Germany, France, Spain, and Northern Africa (see
"The New Penguin Atlas of Medievel History" for example).
> In addition, the Iazyges were sent as Roman soldiers to Hadrian's Wall in
150 AD, were re-assigned to Gaul, but many chose to return to England and
were settled in Lancashire. It would be naieve to think that they did not
leave a genetic imprint. I have never understood why it has been necessary
to posit some prehistoric introduction of J2 to Britain when the historical
documentation is very clear on the migration to Britain of people who very
likely possessed J2 and possibly E3b. This hypothesis should ruffle a few
feathers.
