David, we thank you for the compliments. Richard and I work well together
and enjoy building the World Families Network site.

World Families Network (WFN) was begun after Richard and I realized that
many Surname DNA Projects could benefit from our learnings. We also
realized that too many projects did not have a website or a clear and
understandable display of their results. (Of course, some are outstanding!)
We recognise that many more Surname Projects are needed and expect that more
will begin as the prices come down and the awareness increases. We are
stongly committed to the learning through Surname DNA Projects combined with
traditional genealogy, and have hopes that the combined learning will
eventually be of help to us all on our various maternal lines. Basically,
what we have done has been opportunistic in meeting the needs that we
recognise and have seen among Surname DNA Projects. We intend to maintain
that approach, offering a friendly & useful site for beginning Coordinators
and useful reference info for experienced Coordinators.

We have arranged some affiliate agreements which we hope will start paying
our expenses soon and maybe even make this a viable venture someday. We
have some other ideas in the pipeline, with an expectation that everything
will be related to DNA and Genealogy and be similiar to what you already
see. We're always having thoughts and ideas of how we can make the site
better and what possibilities there are to increase income to make this
worthwhile to us financially (which it isn't now) as well as emotionally (it
is starting to get there).

We will meet our goals and aspirations if we can help hundreds or even
thousands of more Surname DNA Projects start and operate effectively, and
help them to share their learning freely with others. And, if some portion
of those new projects operate their projects from WFN websites and/or order
their tests through links on our site, we think we can make enough to
justify this in the long term.

Hi Terry:

Everything you do looks so very professional and your efforts are expanding
in various directions. Would you perhaps give us a statement about the
goals of World Families? Will it be a platform for a commercial wing?
Whatever, keep up the good work.

David.

Yes, I know - I worked with the Task Force on the Flyer and we
provide the www.dnalist.net site.

The Flyer does have a link on the Helpful Tools site.
http://www.worldfamilies.net/helpful_tools.htm It's listed as "Flyer at
DNALIST (Prepared by the DNA Task Force)" under the heading "Reference
Materials: Misc."
