Hello Sue,

Welcome to your new job of being our List Administrator. I was recently on a
Committee for an organization I belong to, and we compiled and sold a
cookbook. Wonderful book. It has me thinking of food. I was trying to
imagine what some of our ancestors had for food/meals during various eras.

Like what did they have in Yorkshire England in the 1850's? I know they had
Plum Pudding, as my ancestor brought the recipe with her, when they came to
America. But did they eat much meat? Did they grow potatoes there?
And how about the Scandinavian countries? Was their diet the same? I'm not
looking for recipes, but information about the types of food grown and
eaten.

It would be interesting to hear what others know about this. And perhaps
somebody has read a good book about this.

I live in Minnesota.

Nancy
