How about LIVES & TIMES? That's pretty all-embracing. I don't think we've
gone to sleep though.

The internet is behaving strangely of late, and the Rootsweb trivia server
was down for several days at the end of March. Since then it's been a bit
unreliable and maybe Rootsweb aren't quite back to normal yet ... My ISP
(Demon) has just been down for 24 hours too and is now *intermittent* as
everyone tries to catch up. I think events in Iraq have stepped up traffic
and the servers can't cope.

I'm a bit behind with my messages as it's a so hit and miss getting
connected.

This list shows signs of going back to sleep again, and I wonder why. Could
it be that the list name does not reflect the things that people want to
talk about, and have talked about to the great interest of many of us. I
don't know how many subscribers there are, but the number who have posted
has not been very great. Should the name be changed to, say,
GEN-ANECDOTES
GEN-MEMORIES
GEN-THISNTHAT
or anything else you can think of?

The list is supposed to cover anything relating to times past, from recipes,
children's games, village life, strange people - through to personal
experiences or those of our ancestors. In other words - anything goes!

Any comments?
