For whomever is interested, in March 2004 the Ministery for Foreign Affairs of Japan has published a superb book(let) on the Imperial family. It gives through the text genealogical details but the portraits are just superb.

I was entering genealogical details about this Imperial Family but my most recent source was Almanach de Gotha of 1924. Where to go for more recent information? Of course the Japanese Embassy here in Canberra and they were very kind and gave me a copy.
