Copyright would extend for 75 years, but be in the possession of the
photographer or of the successors of Justus Perthes. The latter do exist and
have ceded certain rights (nut not copyright) to two different parties who
have been in dispute. I would guess that copyright protection would not in
all likelihood be pursued.
