I believe that the topic of Thomas Jefferson having an affair with a
slave girl has been discussed here, in this morning's Salt Lake Tribune
there was an article about it. Here is the link to the story:

It shows some evidence that there was such an alliance, but the child
that is probably linked is NOT the one long rumored to be Jefferson's
child.
