I wonder if anyone can help me with some information contained
in this book by Gary Boyd Roberts.
On page 37 gen 13. Frances Clifford married Sir Edward Ayscough
and they are parents of Anne Ayscough who married Edward King.
However, The Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal, Clarence Volume
table LXXV does not give Frances Clifford a daughter, nor granddaughter,
Anne married to an Edward King. There is a granddaughter, but she is
married to William Beresford. Can anyone explain?
One page 9 is a for me highly interesting remark:
Charles II of England
is father of :
Charlotte Fitzroy
is mother of
Lady Charlotte Lee
is mother of
Charles Calvert, 5th Lord Baltimore
is father of
Benedict 'Swingate' Calvert
As mother of Benedict Calvert is suggested Melusina de Schulenberg
illegitimate daughter of King George I. I have no access to G.H.S.L.
Washington (NEHGR 104 (1950)) can anyone elaborate on this?
Many thanks
