I am trying to read all this messages about Sancha de
Ayala/ Toledo, and I am completely lost with names and
numbers. I am going to say only some things I find in
my papers.

1)Juana, Iñigo López de Orozco and Marina de
Meneses'daughter, calls herself only Juana Meléndez in
documents: In 1.376: " Yo, Juana Meléndez, fija de
Iñigo López de Orozco, muger que so de Pedro Xuarez.
Alcalde Mayor de Toledo..." Juana is the second
daughter: María is the oldest, Juana Meléndez the
second, Mencía Fernández the third and Teresa López
the last. They are the four daughters of Iñigo and
Marina de Meneses (in the documents she is named
Marina de Meneses, not Garcia de Meneses.)
The surname Melendez is an important point here. The
only possible reason to give Juana the surname of
Melendez is to be a descendant of Melendo Lampader,
his son Suero Melendez and his grandson Melendo
Suárez, but, where is the link? I think is the same
problem with her husband: Pedro Suárez, grandson of
another Pedro Suárez. Why the surname Suarez? Any
relation with Suero Meléndez?

2)I have Juana Meléndez'husband: Diego Xuarez, as a
son of Día (Diego) Gómez de Toledo, Alcalde Mayor de
Toledo, alive in 1.352, and Ines de Ayala.

3)Dia Gómez would be Pedro Suárez de Toledo and María
Ramírez de Guzmán's son, and a brother of Gutier
Gómez, maestre of Alcantara in 1.361 and dead in
battle in 1.363. Suero Gómez, the bishop of Santiago
de Compostela, assassinated in 1.366 could be another
brother.

4)I have Pedro Suarez de Toledo as a Fernán Gomez and
Teresa Vásquez de Acuña'son, and brother of Gutier
Fernández, murder by Pedro I, Vasco Fernández, bishop
of Toledo in 1.353 and Constanza Fernández, wife of
Diego Garcia II , who tested in 1.358.

5)Fernán Gómez de Toledo. Canciller Mayor and Notario
Mayor de Toledo (1.304-1.318) His wife Teresa Vazquez
de Acuña was Pedro I's nurse. Fernán had at least
three brothers and sisters: Gutier Gómez, bishop of
Toledo in 1.316, Marina Gómez de Toledo, Iñigo López
de Orozco (the old)' wife, And María Gómez de Toledo,
Tello García de Meneses' wife ( and Marina de Meneses
grandmother)

6)Fernán Gómez would be Gómez Perez and Orabuena
Gutiérrez's son. Gómez Pérez dead cc.1291 and was
Fernan Pérez Barroso's brother and both Pedro Gómez
Barroso's sons
