Thomas Peyton was High Sheriff of Cambs. and Huntingdon, 1443,
1453. His son, Sir Robert Peyton, grandson Sir Robert Peyton, and
great-grandson Robert Peyton were also High Sheriffs of Cambs. and
Huntingdon. Robert's son was merely Sheriff of Cambs. & Hunts., 1593.

What is the difference between a High Sheriff and a Sheriff?
