Hello 'gryphon' et al,
Not meaning to dredge up too many dregs into the brew, BUT
our good friends on the LDS site do provide information on the alleged issue
of Emanuel Howe and 'Lady' Ruperta - from my brief scan, 5 sons (4 with
matching names) and 2 daughters (same name).
If anyone is so inclined to 'vet' the contents thereof, a name or two might
even be verifiable.
Somewhat more 'on topic', the same 'source' indicates a descent of the Howes
through the Rich-Bourchier from Sir William Bouchier, Count of Eu and Anne of
Gloucester, Countess of Buckingham and Northampton. Therefore, at least, if
someone pursues this line, there is at least one legitimate Plantagenet
descent involved.........
Good luck, and good hunting.

CP 3:570-71 indicates that he was unmarried. He left an illegitimate son who
died unmarried and an illegitimate daughter, Ruperta, by the actress Margaret
Hughes. Ruperta married General Emanuel Scrope Howe, brother of the 1st
Viscount Howe. Others may know if they left issue.
