No arguments from me there. His ideas still have a place even if we
don't agree with them entirely. His view that the Normans introduced
Feudal society into England from scratch (to put it very crudely) is
rather extreme but at least it's a counterweight to the continuity lobby
so prevalent when I was at university, who refuse to see revolutionary
change anywhere!
