Alessandro's sexual prowess lead him to his death. His cousin, Lorenzino set him
up with a rendezvous with a lady, but when he arrived, lying in wait was no
sensual woman, but Lorenzino and a ruffian named Scoronconcolo. Wounded by
Lorenzino's dagger, Alessandro was finished of by Scoronconcolo who cut his
throat.
(The Medici, by Franco Cesati)

There is a portrait of Alessandro in this book, and while very dark, he does not
look particularly negroid.
