I immensely enjoy the historical postings here and the "company" of the
regulars..some of the threads get quite lively and witty. Although I dont
condone bad behavior and nasty remarks from anyone, I am not quite sure
what the objective of this group is...Wouldn't this take up time that we
could all enjoy in this group or others? From my experience people who
have any notoriety would take great delight in having a list or group
about them as they feed off attention.

I have seen some of Spencers more aggressive and direct posts and even
though while I havent spent as much time on here as a lot of you have,I
dont get much net time and cant see myself checking out the comments on
that list. I hope it achieves the purpose you had in mind but...I just
dont understand it...So far Spencer has been courteous to me, maybe Im of
this opinion because I havent been attacked in any shape or form Im not
really sure..

.Maybe its because I wouldnt take it personally and definately dont let
anyone get me into a position where I feel the need to attack back....For
one of your average Yale educated historians and sailors ?? he seems to
get a LOT of your attention..more than anyone I can think of on this
planet, famous or infamous. I have nothing against you at all Im sure Id
like you because I like most people I "meet" on the net and here at home.
Its just that these thoughts went through my head when I read your message
and I felt the need to write them down.

Cheers! .
