Rose IVE (1557-1632) m. 1575 Laurence Stoughton (1556-1615). Her
father was Richard Ive, lord of Topsfield (Mdx) and mother was Elizabeth
Agmondisham d/o Henry. The Ives are of Kentishtown, London, and likely
related to or descended from Richard Ive, Clerk of the Crown to King
Henry
VI. Can anyone validate this link?
According to VCH Middlesex, William Ive (d.1608) is somehow related to a
Robert Tickill of Kentishtown to whom Topsfield was willed.
The Ive arms derived from a church brass in Surrey are 3
elephant's heads and a chevron or pile, tinctures unknown. have these
arms ever been formally granted or matriculated?
