Even without a smiley, I knew it was
meant as a joke. You did not say you WERE
offended. That is why I went back to you
and expressed disappointment you did not
disagree and invalidate my premise.
Mankind for too long has seen the need
to categorize people, and people in one
category feeling better than people in others.
I think those people who feel like that
miss out. They miss out in knowledge and
friendship. I also realise that humour is
a very difficult art, in any form. We miss
out on each others facial expressions and
tones in voices. That is why we should be
careful when making jokes, some people take
them seriously.
From now on I hope to see more messages
from you Carlos! If you think that some people
throw around medieval information with ease,
that is simply because those people, either
have studied or have a good library (or access
to one). What I find infuriating is the detailed
knowledge some people have about royal individuals, like that person who
gave that
wonderfull description of Anne of Brittany.
Where did he find that information?
Also I have learned that by giving a
bit more details than requested, you could
help more people as you may give someone else
just that unexpected little bit they needed.
I understand you know your ancestors back
quite a fair way. Tell us about your furthest
ancestors and someone (Chico and Doug Holmes come to mind) might be able to
add to your knowledge.
