I would very much like to know why DSH or anyone else would call this lady
"de Hardi". That was never her name before 1999. She was Marguerite de
France. I believe she was sometimes called the "May Queen" for her
springlike beauty. (She seems to have been loved by all.) "le Hardi" was her
father's personal nickname, and none of his children bore it that I know of.
It would be like calling Adam Bonynge "Adam la Stupenda" because he's the
son of Joan Sutherland.
Ridiculous.
