You need C R Cheney's 'Handbook of Dates for Students of English
History' - first published by the Royal Historical Society in 1945,
but reprinted with corrections and updating many times since then.
Edward I's first regnal year started on 20 November 1272, Henry VI's
on 1 September 1422.
The odd one out is King John, whose regnal years start on Ascension
day and are therefore of different lengths.
For more details about British kings see M Ashley's 'British
Monarchs', Robinson Publishing, 1998.
