His tomb effigy at St Denis is described as having been made about 5
years after his death by Pierre de Thury. It looks like it could well
be a believable portrait of a real person, rather than an
idealization, but I have no idea whether Thury would have seen Charles
VI in life or not.
IF it is an accurate portrait, then the nose does not look especially
large, although since the photo is face-on, it's a little hard to
judge. It looks as though the tip is slightly up-turned.
