This is a bit outside the bounds of the list, but are their known American
descendants of Sir Walter RALEIGH, or other RALEIGHs? I need help
debunking a very persistent line that has made the rounds of the various
WHITE researchers I've met. They insist that our ancestor, Andrew WHITE
of Sudbury, Middlesex Co. MA married a descendantof Sir Walter RALEIGH.
In all the records I've seen so far, her father's name was usually spelled
RALEY,
RILEY, RYLEY, RAYLEY, RAILLY, but these researchers insist it was RALEIGH.
Can anyone give me some ammunition to fight this? I'm losing this battle.
