This is the kind of thing I'm wondering about with reference to the Church's
consanguinity laws.
Was there any prohibition against marrying your stepmother's stepson, as Eve de
Bulmer did in the example above? Although I suppose by the very nature of the
word "consanguinity", since Eve and her husband didn't actually share the same
blood, it shouldn't be a problem. Nevertheless, step-relations did have a bond
by marriage, so I'm wondering if this was any sort of impediment?
