Hey, my English spelling went out the window after I began spending hours
reading pre-1600 documents and records. I've seen words spelled SO many
different ways [son is typically spelled sonne, etc.] I had to learn to read
phonetically, letter by letter, instead of "chunking" the way we do today.

And those spell checkers are lethal to transcribing documents letter perfect.
So I'm all for chucking them and just being creative. Shakespeare invented new
words. Why can't we? ; )
