Dear Omar,
Bastards are simply children of parents who did not marry.
Willem the Conqueror and William Longespee, are two. I have one to
admit to. When Napoleon's army came to the Netherlands one soldier,
Nicodemi (that is all I know of him)left behind a pregnant girl.
In Australia "You bastard" is a term of endearment. (Depending how
it is said!). He did not say we are all bastards, he said we are
all descendants of bastards----you only have to know of one and he
is correct.
With some people (especially Spencer Hines) you have to read
carefully what they say, you may miss something, hidden there might be
even a pearl of wisdom in what is said. I have to disagree with you,
in what he said he was generalising, not insulting. In some of your
sentences I read that English is not your first language (it isn't my
first language either) and I feel you may not grasp what actually was meant.
