I was mistaken on this, it is the older Margaret, wife of Wenwynwyn who
was of the Caus line. It is chronologically impossible for the wife of
his grandson Owain to be a Caus Corbet, as that would place her a
generation younger than the eventual coheiresses of the family.
I can't find my notes from Bartrum to clarify who was father of Joanna,
but the following is a traditional descent of Corbet.
(Hugh?) Corbet

Note the descent from the mythical older son, Thomas the Pilgrim.
My notes from Paget's Baronage have the following modified descent:
(Corbet)

Roger

Joan=Harley
Now, I should first point out that I was under the impression that
Petronell was well attested, and the absence of her and her husband
here, plus the generation difference in chronology, makes me wonder if I
didn't drop a generation when abstracting this information. None the
less, if Joanna, wife of Owain ap Griffith ap Wenwynwyn was daughter of
"Robert of Moreton Corbet" then she would be daughter of Robert and
Maud/Matilda.
As you can tell by this, the early generations of Corbet are unclear.
