I just received a brochure from Vittorio Klostermann of Frankfurt am
Main, apparently representing Verlag Stargardt, the publisher,
announcing some new volumes of the Euorpäische Stammtafeln. The cover
letter is dated 20 January 1998. I can not translate this, German is
not a language I know that well, but here is what I gathered. They are
reprinting Band 1, Teil 1, "Die fränkischen Könige und die Könige und
Kaiser, Stammesherzoge und Kurfürsten, Markgrafen und Herzoge des
Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation." Basically, I believe this
is a partial reprint of the first volume. The brochure also announces
Band XVII, "Hessen und das Stammesherzogtum Sachsen." I think this
deals with noble families from Hesse and Saxony. Apparently, they both
cost 240 German Marks. On the back of the brochure I also see the
following announcement: "Band XVIII: Zwischen Maas un Rhein, In
Vorbereitung für Herbst 1998." I think this means noble families found
between the Maas and Rhine rivers will be published by the Fall of 1998.

I hope I have this information correct and that it is of interest to the
researchers in this news group.
