Subject: Strickland's "The Queens of England" [1891]
Date: Tue, 2 Dec 1997 08:25:26 -1000
Recently, someone cited an alleged genealogical source reportedly called
"The Queens of England" in a six volume revised edition of 1891. No
publisher or full name of the author were provided.
1. Does anyone know who Strickland was and what his/her genealogical and/or
historical credentials were?
2. How does Strickland stack up as a reliable genealogical and/or
historical source?
3. Is the six-volume set still widely distributed?
