I am submitting this query on behalf of a friend. She is researching
the ancestry of Sir Richard Woodrove who was born ca. 1447; knighted in
1501. The administration of his will was on 1 Apr 1522. Sir Richard
married Beatrix, daughter of Thomas FitzWilliam of Mablethorpe.

She received copies from a book entitled "Yorkshire Pedigrees" from a
relative. She doesn't have any further particulars on the author,
publisher, etc of the book. One of the pages has a page number (400) on

it. These pages list Sir Richard's ancestry back 5 generations to a
Henry Woodrove of Woolley who married Elizabeth, daughter of William
Dransfield of West Bretton.

She has researched this family through the Medieval Genealogy Department

of the LDS Church and did not find any ancestors listed for Sir Richard,

so she is concerned with the accuracy of the information listed in this
"Yorkshire Pedigrees" book.

Does anyone have any information on Sir Richard Woodrove? The
generations from Sir Richard to Henry are as follows:

Sir Richard Woodrove married Beatrix, daughter of Thomas FitzWilliam
John Woodrove married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Thomas Nevile
John Woodrove (unknown spouse)
John Woodrove of Woolley and Newland married Anne, daughter of John
Cresacre
Henry Woodrove of Woolley married Elizabeth, daughter of William
Dransfield
