Nicholas Crundall, clerk, parson of Winterbourne, Glocs., by his will of 1589,
left the advowson of the parsonage to his son James. An advowson is the
right to nominate the benefices of an ecclesiastical office, according to a
dictionary definition.

What would this mean in terms of the paper trail? What types of records
might exist in which the advowson would be transferred from James to the
new parson? Any ideas are welcome.
