According to the genealogy that my uncle had done about twenty
years ago, my family was traced back to what is now Holland in the 12th
century. He had all of thei information put into a book, but that book is
no longer available I'm sad to say. Evidently it has been lost. I was
hoping someone here might have come across it in their own searchings.
Over the centuries the name has permutated into several varieties of the
name Ellerbee, Ellerby, Eleby, Eller, Elerby, etc. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
