As this particular piece of information was not in Weis/Sheppard, I have
to wonder about the care that went into evanuating the additions to this
book. I hope this is not indicative of the care that went into
preparing the entire volume.

It is pretty obvious that there is not going to be an error free, all-the-answers book out there for us medieval genealogists. One of our members recently remarked that she used all her books and did comparisons of data - which is what we all should be doing. None of us should lose sight of the fact that when we deal with SO MUCH data, there are going to be errors. Look at our own databases! We need to check all the sources we can.

BTW - Speaking of sources - I have received my copy of BLOOD ROYAL: ISSUE OF THE KINGS AND QUEENS OF MEDIEVAL ENGLAND 1066-1399, THE NORMANS AND PLANTAGENETS by T. Anna Leese. This book has four generations (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren - and all their spouses) of issue of each king and queen from William the Conqueror though Edward III. AND it has three generations of issue of John of Gaunt's three marriages - that includes the Beauforts. Crammed full of stats, historical information, informative articles. Fully indexed.
