Here's what I have on the BASSET family, which does includes a Thomas. Not
sure if he's the right one for you though:

FITZFORNE) d. > 1165. Gilbert died > 1165.

Alice: This woman descends from De WARENNE & De THOLOUSE..

Matthew De LOUVAINE and Muriel). Philip died 29 Oct 1271, Stanley, Wilts.,
UK. Philip's forebears were obtained from the STRICKLAND homepage

i Aliva BASSET b. 1241, Wooten Basset, Wilts., UK, Occ: Countess of
Norfolk, m. Hugh I Le DESPENSER, b. c. 1223, Rhyall, Rutland,
Wales, (son of Hugh Le DESPENSER) Occ: 1st Lord Falmouth, d. 4 Aug 1265,
Slain in battle of Evesham, Yorkshire. Aliva died < 11 Apr 1281. Also
called Aline of Wycombe. Following Hugh's death she remarried to Roger BIGOD
(d. 1306), Earl of Norfolk.
