Marlyn,
I was trying to respond to Allen Holder's original posting of May 1st. but
have now found your reply. I know and respect your work as seen in The
Plantagenet Connection. The information in your reply is something not
seen by me before and is appreciated. Following is my reply to Allen and
I would like your thoughts on this information.
Allen,
I too, am interested in finding a definite connection between Edward IV
and an illegitimate daughter by the name of Elizabeth PLANTAGENET. Her
mothers identity, to my knowledge has yet to be proven. She is reported
to have married a Sir Thomas Lumley which produced a daughter Sibill
born about 1485 who married a William HILTON in 1512. I have included
the following for your information and the WWW address where it was found.

The following is from The Life and Times of EDWARD IV by Gila Falkus,
page 201.
It is surprising that all Edwards amorous escapades led
as far as we know, to only two illegitimate children. By
a woman named Elizabeth Lucy he had a son, Arthur Plantagent,
who was created Viscount Lisle in 1523 by Edwards grandson,
Henry VIII, frequented the Tudor court and died in 1542. The
second was a daughter about whom very little is known, not
even the identity of her mother, but she was probably brought
up in the household of Elizabeth Woodville and was present at
the dowageer Queens death in 1492.
I realize that none of this solves the main question raised by your post
but it may help gather others interested in the same quest.
