I don't know if you have got any abswers to your quistion, but here is what
I found in Gustav Elgenstierna's books (9 volumes).

This Gran Hansson is mentioned among other places in vol. VIII of
Elgenstierna as the husband of Metta Tnnesdotter Tott. On page 342b I read
as follows about Tnne Eriksson Tott's children:
2. Metta Tnnesdotter, d 1616 11/1 enl. gravstenen i Knivsta kyrka (Sth.).
G. m. hvidsmannen Gran Hansson, till Hgsjgrd i V. Vingkers sn (Sd.),
d 1596. Deras barn fingo skldebrev 1592 8/7 (Hgsjgrdsslkten eller
Gyllenmne, ej introd.)

That is about all about him, nothing about his ancestors. The above (I don't
know your swedish) means that Metta's death is according to a tombstone at
the Knivsta church in Stockholm. What hvidsmann will be in english, I don't
know for sure, maybe head of the family, or some leader. Their children got
letter of their nobility, but they were never introduced (made official).

About their children I found the following:

Brita Margareta married Svante Eriksson Stlarm, 4 children
Anna Gransdotter, married Gran Boije of Genns
Tnne Gransson, married Beata, daughter of Arvid Trolle

I hope this clears things up for you, any connection to the danes is not
mentioned anywhere. The family is also called Gyllenmne (goldenmoon) of
Mnestierna after their coat of arms, a golden half-moon between two
six-armed silver star on a blue background.
