New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol.64: 237-239, 1910 and
Vol.67: 21-23, 1913 show that the Rev. Obadiah Holmes was the son of Robert
Hulme of Reddish, but fails to find any connection to the Hulmes of Reddish
who were substantial 15C & 16C landowners. Has any recent research been
done?
