[This is in response to the postings by Jim Stevens, based on "an article
entitled "The Ancestry of William Mullins" in the Oct 1925 "Americana"
magazine (Vol XIX #4), published by the American Historical Society, pp
537-543."]
I guess this is one for the "bogus gateway ancestor" file! I must confess
it had my attention with the descent from Abelard and Heloise. For the
record, as Abelard's autobiography mentions, their love child was named
"Astralabe" and was certainly not Robert Molyneux, or Meulan, or whatever.
Alden, Mullins and Standish are enough romantic interest without grafting
on Abelard and Heloise, but I appreciate the sense of romance in whoever
dreamt that one up.
But, by the way, if anyone out there has descents from Pyramus and Thisbe,
Judith and Holferness <;)>, Pygmalion and Galatea, or Romeo and Juliet,
please let me know!!!!!
