"The Scots Peerage", Vol III, 1906, p. 243:
"The name of the Earl's wife is unknown, and her parentage has not been
discovered, though she had a brother Edmund or Eadmund..."
Then in an accompanying footnote: "It has been suggested that this
Edmund was identified with Eadmund, son of King Harold II, but of this
there is no proof."
