Sorry, I can't find my source as this data was gathered long ago in my less
experienced days - but someone has given Alan of Galloway's (#17 above)
wife as HELEN, dau. of "REGINALD OF THE ISLES" and FONIA OF MORAY.
Apparently Weis is also uncertain of her identity, willing only to say she
was the dau of one of the de Lacys.
Can anyone tell me anything about this REGINALD OF THE ISLES (and FONIA
while we're at it) ? Can anyone give an overview on the evidence as to
just who Alan's wife really was?
